A sample is a promise. We make it verifiable.
The fastest way to destroy a yeast trade is to send a sample that does not match the shipment. This is the procedure we follow, published so you can hold us to it.
The sample protocol.
Every sample we send follows these six steps, whichever tier or producer it comes from.
Taken directly from the producer
Samples come from the manufacturing plant, from current production — never from an intermediary's stock and never repackaged by us.
Carries the producer lot / batch number
The lot number is stated on the sample and recorded against your enquiry, so the sample can be traced to a specific production run.
Original or verifiable packaging
Original producer packaging wherever possible. Where a smaller sample pack is used, it is identified as a sample and its origin is documented.
The producing plant is named
You are told which producer made the sample, under confidentiality. A sample is never presented as coming from a plant that did not make it.
Written specification match
We confirm in writing that the commercial consignment will carry the same specification as the approved sample — and tell you in advance if the production source would change.
Third-party testing on request
Where the volume or the market justifies it, an independent laboratory test can be arranged before commitment.
Why we publish this
Because it has gone wrong in this industry.
Sample substitution — one producer's yeast repackaged and presented as another's — is a known failure in this trade. It is discovered at the worst possible moment: after the first commercial container lands and the bakery's dough behaves differently.
Once that trust is lost, no specification sheet repairs it. So we treat sample integrity as a hard operating rule, not a courtesy.
Batch consistency between shipments.
Approving a sample is the start of the quality relationship, not the end of it.
Specification on every consignment
Each shipment travels with the applicable specification and, where required, a certificate of analysis for the batch.
Notified source changes
If the producing plant behind your product would change, you are informed before shipment and offered a new sample.
Packaging integrity
Vacuum foil integrity is part of the quality standard. Compromised vacuum packaging is treated as a product defect, not a cosmetic issue.
